Review of Legal framework governing Consumer Protection in Tanzania
Due to science and technology advancement and globalization in general it is very easy for the consumer to be affected health wise, economically and socially. This is because the existing legal framework does not carter for these developments. These laws were enacted before the socio economic changes that have occurred. In the same line the existing laws are scattered and regulated by various authorities. Therefore, the Commission has embarked on studying and identifying the shortcomings in the Legal framework and proposes actionable recommendations for reform.
